Low Nest Farm has been offering hospitality since around 1901 when my Great, Great Grandmother catered for guests in the old farmhouse.

Nest Barn is a comfortable barn conversion which was completed in 2012. It offers accommodation for 2 to 4  people and is situated in a secluded part of the farm with a stunning south facing view towards Helvellyn Range.

Low Nest Farm has been offering hospitality since about 1901 when my Great, Great Grandmother catered for guests in the old farmhouse. The tradition has carried on through the family. Your current proprietors are Angela and Jeremy Goldsmith.

We have offered bed and breakfast for the last 6 years with excellent reviews on trip advisor and many return guests. The farm was also featured  in Your Dog Magazine on 2 occasions. The B&B is now closed. Our new venture is a self-catering barn conversion.

The Barn accommodation comprises   a double bedroom upstairs with an adjoining bathroom and a bedroom downstairs which has either a super king size bed or twin beds with an adjoining shower room. The down stairs is  suitable for less physically able or elderly guests.

There is a spacious kitchen diner downstairs.  The kitchen is equipped with an oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.  The comfortable mezzanine lounge has sky television. There is also free wi-fi.

We welcome families. We have a cot and high chair if required. There is plenty of safe outdoor space for children to play.

We welcome dogs.  The barn has an enclosed yard so dogs can be let outside safely. We have a designated stock free exercise field.  Dog towels and throws are provided; also your dog will be given a bag of treats. Dog poo bags, water bottle, a torch and a bowl are available for use. There is a hosepipe to wash down muddy dogs.

We have secure storage for  bikes, pushchairs  etc and ample parking for 2/3 cars directly outside the barn.

Low Nest Farm is in an ideal location to explore the lakes.  It is situated only 2 miles south of Keswick with all the amenities but is set back from the road surrounded by fields so gives the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. There are  3 public footpaths accessible from the front door.
